Would anyone be kind enough to tell me details that what is meaning of
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, FOLLOW">
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, NOFOLLOW">
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> ?

Among these which is the good for SEO ?

1. Tells Google to not index your page, but still to follow outbound links from it.
2. Tells Google to index the page, but not to follow any links.
3. Tells Google not to index or follow any links from the page.

If you don't know what they do, rather leave them alone.

none of the point s best for SERP. It is not worth to follow this kind of methods

The main goal when it comes to SEO is to have all of your pages indexed and in addition to that, ensuring that they are all optimized so that they can rank for additional long-tails and rake in some extra traffic.

So as others have suggested, unless you are trying to restrict link-juice or prevent a page from getting indexed, just omit that line from your robot.txt file, no need for that command

I have a problem with wordpress blog. On g00gle Webmaster Tools robots . txt looks like this.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/

Sitemap: http : // myblog(dot)com/sitemap(dot)xml

But in Webmaster Tools shows the error "Some important page is blocked by robots . txt." and google can not be accessed and index site. Also search for site:myblog(dot)com return: Your search - site:myblog(dot)com - did not match any documents.

Any suggestions?
