An Idiot in IM!

Well I'm not really an idiot, but I'm a complete and utter beginner. Not just to marketing but computers as well. So my Journey has no real direction other then to learn as much as i can and make as much as i can. My initial target is to be $10 a day.

So since finding this site a few days ago, I've done a huge amount of reading and watching youtube tutorials on building websites, and i feel comfortable enough to give it a go. The methods ive found to be the easiest are.

1.) Pin images from popular pins and niche related images to your website and upload them to pinterest. Then monetize with adsense.

2.) Crakrevenue and adult blogs. Is it me or does anyone else read it as CAKErevenue ?

3.) Youtube and clickbank.

To start with im going to give the pinterest gig a go. Only one problem , adsense!! I have read that the best way to get approved is to build a blogger then wait a while then apply. Well if i pontificate and wait surely i will lose my impetus. Instead I'm going to try and build a email list and monetize that.

Hopefully by keeping this journal i will hold myself accountable, get tons of awesome advice and guidance , have something to reference later on should anything work and also to help out some fellow beginners.

Today's steps.

Purchase domain and hosting
build site (bit ambitious i imagine, but i have youtube on my side)
Begin building some pinterest followers

It can be easy when you know what you're doing. Compare YT + Clickbank vs. Website + Original Content + SEO and you will see.

haha I have no illusions about my delusions! I'm sure I'll be pulling my hair out in no time.

Good luck OP! Unlike most beginners you actually read information instead of asking to be spoonfed, which is a great start.

You also picked a good method to start out with, just keep doing your research and you will do great.

It was more of a joke I've been watching An Idiot Abroad recently and i guess that's were its come from ( great show btw is on netflix) . Thanks for the advice though.

So any who as an update as such
bought my domain and will start asap building it out.

Adult blogs are a ton of trouble, I'd suggest having a much larger Capital to invest - before walking that path.

Hey man! I also have a journey thread in here. Im doing YT + Clickbank and im about 8 days in and just made my first sale 2 days ago. You just have to buckle down and work hard on one thing. If you try starting 3-4 different projects nothing is going to get done and you are going to waste time. Just my 2c. Good luck though friend!

I would avoid the pinterest + image + adsense. It seems adsense does not like image sites from the threads i read here on BHW. They ended up getting banned

Ive read your thread, your doing awesome mate, keep going. I have a bit more learning to do before i attempt that. (at Guthridge! Not sure why it wouldnt quote.)

In my opinion, it would be easiest to do the Pinterest-Adsene method. Simply make sure you have a few unique articles on your site, and I'm sure you'll approved.

So i cant post my results of today for some reason!

Well that's day one over and done with and I wont lie my head hurts. I drank about 17 sodas and my football team lost , also the Olympics is on and it is a major distraction. However I have got some stuff done.

Website is taking shape, I have to say I am quite pleased with my self thank you random youtube tutorials
1- pinterest account set up which is to be my main account. I followed 10 very popular posters in my niche (food) and began posting. Followed 200 in total and pinned 250 pins across 15 boards. Will repeat this daily for a week or so. Gained 10 followers - this is i think is poor and need to read up on how to gain more followers. My selection process was over 500pins and 100-600 followers
1 - twitter account which i have decided to incorporate into my method. Built out the profile to look normal. Few tweets, followed 100. Gained 36 followers - I think this is good ? no ? maybe my pinterest results have biased my thinking?
Started to do some keyword research

1. Pinterest people are crazy - why would anyone spend there life cataloging STUFF they will never have/cook/look like
2. ORGANIZE YOURSELF yes i see the irony. Very easy to forget passwords etc already had to reset here

Build social media accounts
Learn a little more

Youtube + clickbank is easy IMO. I made my first 3 or 4 of my first sales online pushing clickbank products from youtube all within a week. I had the shittiest landing page but it seemed to work well lol.
