Amz Affiliate link cloaking?

I've researched here first to see if I am not double posting, and yes, there's tons of results, but nothing from year 2017 yet.... So, let me ask: Is Amazon affiliate link cloaking okay now? I've seen some of my clients does it, but not sure if it works or not.

What I did is http:// www. mydomain. com/ the-affiliated-product, then that redirects to my affiliate link.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I'm no expert but list of 'rules to abide by' for Amazon is huge. You need to read every detail carefully, then read it again.

(v) You will not cloak, hide, spoof, or otherwise obscure the URL of your Site containing Special Links (including by use of Redirecting Links) or the user agent of the application in which Content is displayed or used such that we cannot reasonably determine the site or application from which a customer clicks through...

You can use specially cloak providing site where you can cloak amazon links or buckets. Also there lots of options and easy to handle

The fact that your clients use it doesnt mean that this is not prohibited. Officially Amazon does not allow cloaking links - it is clearly stated in their terms of use. But, if your bussiness is huge, maybe you will be able to get a personal permission to do it. The only way how you can find out if there is any options for you is to contact Amazon support.

Also there are some BH methods how you can hide from Amazon the real source of your traffic. But I don't recommed using them if you are planning to go for a long time relationship with Amazon
