In AMR is it necessary to put your URL in a <a href tag?

I tried doing it but when I preview the article it didn't show up

Will you still get the backlink if you don't use it?

    Any answers apprciated

You should use the <a href> tag for all your links. They will be live when submitted.

Just make sure that you write it right.
It's impossible to not show a link in the preview.

    Code:
    <a href="YOURSITE">ANCHOR</a>

Sure? I only use it in the resource box...

In the body i use contextual links and they automatically replace my keywords with the correct url. This way i can spin my keywords too...
