    Hey all,

So I did my first ever blast with AMR. Wasn't too successful. I've got ~3100 sites showing as 'OK' and the article was successfully posted to 660 only :p

But thats not a big problem as it will improve after playing with AMR for a while. My main issue is that AMR freezes when checking live links after the blast.

It displays 'waiting for 1 thread to stop' or something like this (I dont remember exact words) and then I have to kill the process eventually. I gave it 2 hours but it still was just frozen :(

    What could be the issue?

    Cheers.

Sometimes AMR does just get a thread stuck. If you hit cancel it will still give you a readout of all the other results, so you will just potentially not find one livelink :)

    Regards,

    Arch

Thanks for the reply. It won't even let me click on 'stop'. Its completely frozen and now I can't click anywhere inside it (It gives a warning sound when I click). Won't even minimize!!!
    What the hell man...

How long do you wait? Sometimes it will look frozen but then a few minutes later kick back in with the lick check done

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried Livelinks over 10 times now and every time it crashes. ARGH!!

What happens sometimes is it finishes checking Livelinks but pops up the save dialogue BEHIND the main window, thus looking like the main window is frozen. Juggle your windows around a bit, try minimising all etc and the save dialogue appears. I bet that's happening to you too.

Now what I don't get with AMR is why it takes like a full minute to filter directories by any criterium. Maybe that's a Vista problem, but it's just a simple database for crying out loud...

    Yes, I had this. Fix:

Don't stop it running, go to Options -> increase the thread count by 10 or whatever, now your livelinks search will finish. Each time it freezes, increase the thread count. AMR just freezes as it searches for links in vain.

Hahahaha guys just press ALT+TAB. There is a window behind AMR to save the links file.

Same thing for me. Just close it, then go back to check again using the database. Problem solved.

Yeah or just press ALT+TAB and save the text file lol.

I used to close it and check again using database also before I knew you had to press ALT+TAB though :p
