Hey there! I remember a days when in ecom Ambassador's program was very popular.
Like brands were sending micro-influencers mass DMs to drive them to the main page, next with the help of manychat on main page they drive them to their website and convert it users who as I guess purchased their products with a huge discount and got a refferal link to promote this products on their pages to earn commissions.

Can someone here can describe this approuch deeper? Why would these "ambassadors" purchase anything at all except received it for free? Why these "ambassadors" start promoting this brand "for free" just for comissions? Does it still work well? Let's discuss it here ;)

They dont pay for the product, they just pay the shipping costs thats it, which actually covers the product cost in it too. And I personally dont think it works well at this point

I'm still seeing people trying to go for this. But not really sure on its effectiveness.

Yeah, I remember that approach. A lot of people joined because it felt exclusive, even if they had to pay upfront. They hoped to earn through commissions and boost their own pages. Not sure if it still works well now as it kinda overused.

Yeah, it's for sure overused. I'm gonna kinda pivot it, what I'm looking for here is detailed process how it used to work

Dead method. At one point it was just too saturated.

Why would these "ambassadors" purchase anything at all except received it for free?
Most of them were wannabe influencers, happy to do anything so they can tell their friends about it, lol

Hey! I remember that approach too, brands used micro-influencers to create a cycle of buyers-turned-promoters. Usually, ambassadors bought the product to get that referral link and legit access, plus the discount made it worth it. The commissions gave them incentive to promote without upfront cost. It worked well when the product and offer were attractive. Not sure if it’s as effective now with so much competition, but the concept still holds. Curious what others think!
