With almost same quality, those counterfeits offer much lower prices and people just love it. Amazon love and hate it, though.

Quality? No, you must be confusing it with something else. There is NOTHING of quality coming from Chinese Knock Off companies. People buy it hoping that because it was cheap, it wouldn't break down the next day before use. Also, think about the economic mark up some of these "retailers" mark up on. Most Tier 1 countries are trained to look for the cheapest price before quality. The sad, pathetic, marketing scams of Amerian retailers have caused this mess. Also, if you can't beat China, join them. If it costs water and electricity to make something, find a way to collect water very cheaply and generate the electricity yourself. Something of Cotton you might want to grow your own cotton to make your own shirts. You'll find that a quality 400 thread count shirt only costs less than $0.10 to make. The ink might be a bit more expensive, but you could also supply your own ink and print it yourself ...

I think we could learn from the Chinese and make quality products more affordable, not cheaper shitty products in mass volume.

    Chinese products are cheaper because:

    a) Chinese communists allow slave labor in factories. Only the major cities are benefiting from the economic boom. Those born outside live in 3rd world poverty, which is arguably worse now than ever.

    b) The chinese government manipulates monetary policy to allow their industries to undercut competitors.

    c) Chinese export costs are heavily subsidized by the government, allowing manufacturers there to export without it cutting into their margins. At the same time, exporting TO china is nearly impossible unless you are a political crony that has a sweetheart deal with one of the reds.

So when I see people cheer china's lowball prices on consumer goods as if it's some great thing, just remember that most countries that are not china are paying the price. This includes America, whose manufacturing sector was gutted by globalist trade deals sold as "free trade". True free trade means you can trade with anyone according to mutually accepted laws and rules that all parties abide by; it does not mean no rules or multiple sets of rules, where one side cheats the other by not following the rules.

Or you could do a quick search and find that the average Chinese worker makes <$10k USD per year. Not every American, Canadian, etc wants to be eating grass and dirt their whole life. Overall terrible approach to the situation. Amazon should have better procedures in place to deal with this problem.

If you pay more and get quality products, it will last you much longer and be cheaper over the years you have it vs some a cheap product. But the average person thinks about the current moment all the time and not the next 5-10 years or more.
