So this is my problem Ive been making pretty good money on amazon selling DVD's and some other products from china. Im sure you guys know what im talking about. lately my packages have been getting seized by customs and its turning into a headache. My supplier tells me the reason is because i live in Los Angeles and customs is very strict here. Is there any advise anyone can give me about my situation? I was thinking of opening a po box out of state but i would have to go pick up the package and ship to myself in los angeles. Any idea how i can get around this problem?

Do you know anyone out side of Los Angeles? Ship it to them and have them ship to you or even better ship to your customers.

i don no anyone out side of los angeles that i can trust.

You don't have to know anyone. Basically all you have to do Is pay monthly for a "Forwarding Address" somewhere In the United States. Yahoo/Google search Forwarding Addresses, find one with a cheap monthly fee, and make sure they're reputable. Afterwards, have your items shipped to them, and they will ship the items back to the address of your choice. Simple as 1,2,3 ABC.

thank you very much. Now if you could PM a copy of amazon ghost that would make my day :) lol

i used to do what you are doing now, and get packed seized by customs when i used EMS because when it enters the country it goes through US Customs, try ordering more than 21KG package and have it sent via DHL. I have had approximately 30 shipments with DHL and not one seizure

99% of the time, problems with passing items through customs isn't the receivers problem, it has to do with the company sending it from a flagged address - especially though EMS.

i get it using DHL and the packages are always over 21kg. My packages still get seized. I was told that Los Angeles customs is very strict now. What do you do now titties420? lol i just realized your sn.

maybe if you wrote something different on the customs declaration it might not get seized like computer goods? I was selling stuff from overseas too
