Amazon with Wordpress

I have a site with high domain age, wordpress shopperpress theme and amazon... I'm looking to have a mix of original content along with imported amazon content from shopperpress theme.

So my question is... will this effect my google rank if I'm importing amazon products from shopperpress?

I have not worked with shopper press..
but if it just pulls descriptions from amazon...
then you will have duplicate content....
google will label you as a thin affiliate...
you will lose ranking...

so if I have my homepage and about 5 pages with unique content... will having the amazon content effect my rank?

If the amazon content is pulled from the amazon site with api or other method
you will have duplicate content and it will affect you.
What you need to do is pull the amazon link and pictures from amazon but write out your own description... that will be unique content.

If you have 100 unique articles.... and if you add 50 duplicate articles or entries (amazon or otherwise) ... i believe your rankings will get hurt.

The question of duplicate content is dubious at best. I don't think it will hurt you as long as the things you are pulling up from amazon are on target for the niche you're after. But the debate about duplicate content will go on...

The subject has been debated, discussed, and kicked to death on here in other threads, so really to be honest you need to do your own research, make a decision based on that, and then do some testing of your own.
