Amazon VS Clickbank....Your Views?

I'm not into affiliate marketing but I want to try my hands now. Which network do you advice?

Amazon or Clickbank?

What are your views on their pros n cons?

I think 4% reff. rate is freaking low on Amazon,but it is more reliable and hence sells more than Clickbank...is it true?
Whereas,Clickbank offers much more commission than Amazon.

Your views are valuable :)

Pretty sure you can, yes. I have several sites with ebooks from click bank and an amazon affiliate link to related guides. It really never occurred to me you couldn't.

For example, google adsense allows other ads to be placed on the same page as adsense, it just has to be obvious they're not adsense... (which is their rule).
 
you can try both and their concepts and products are different anyways. CB is mainly software or virtual products, amazon is more dealing with shipping.

for the start with clickbank i did phonesearchprofits its a directory script
 
I have tried Clickbank many times, but never like hardcore.
I tried clickbank + website

well recently I got my hands on a personal method with amazon.
(I think I read something similar in Jr Vip section)

but anyways
for me:

Amazon >>>> clickbank

this is kind of an apples and oranges comparison. sure they both allow you to affiliate but they are so different from eachother I think it comes down more to personal preference
 
I have sites that promote Clickbank products and sites that promote Amazon products.
From my experience, It's easier to sell a physical product (Amazon). True, the commission from Amazon is low... However, if you drive traffic to your site, all you need to do, is to make the visitor to click on your affiliate link. Amazon will convert him to a buyer. You will earn commission not only if the visitor buys the specific product you promote, but for ANY product they buy. I was surprised how many people bought products that I didn't even promote. So after testing both...
My average conversion rate on my Clickbank sites is ~1%.
My average conversion rate on my Amazon sites ~9%.
So if 100 visitors came to my clickbank site, I get 1 sale and about $10-$49 (for the products I promote)
If I have 100 visitors on my Amazon site, and even if I get only 4%, and the average sale is $150, I get $6 per customer, and about 9 buyers, total of $54.
Anyway, my recommendation, start with Amazon - easier! :)

Thanks buddy...I'm stuck with keyword research, I have Niche Cracker but I'm not sure which keyword/Niche to choose. I have sorted out some niches with 800-900 local search (USA,[Exact]). with EMD available. Is this search volume ok for an Amazon affiliate site? or I need more ? I will appreciate any help from you, if you wish to share anything from your experience.
 
I think if you have a budget and can figure out Paid Traffic - then Click Bank is the way to go.

If your looking for reliable consistent income every month - and prefer Seo / Social Traffic - then Amazon is a really good earner.

Yeah you got to hit 7.5% - 8% to really get somewhere in Amazon but for me - I never worry about it because I know they are going to pay me - so it's a tradeoff.

I've never been into the Paid side of things so can't tell you how much effort it takes to get anywhere in ClickBank - but one look at the products sold there was enough for me to do what I do.

All the best no matter which way you go - have a gr8 day.

Thanks Danny, I'll go for Amazon. Reason would be that I need a consistent and reliable income without too much of hassle. I don't think I can put too much effort on Clickbank. Thanks for your input
 
I`ll say CB, less hassle, weekly payments direct deposit / check, whatever, and a lot of products to push.

Amazon its fine, if you got massive traffic, but what about the commission? Would you rather get %75 or %6?

There are some basic questions that you need to ask yourself, what do you want.. Run 2 websites, 1 CB and 1 AZ, see which one converts best with ur traffic, test yourself, read this whole forum to get a better idea, its awesome.

But if you`re a hard worker, like many who read this forum and take no action``;), you should try both CB and AZ.

I have been pushing traffic to Zon for a while and not one sale yet, very targeted too, don't get it . I like CJ the best
 
I didn't tried Clickbank, because I live in Bosnia and we are not able to sing up, but I am in Amazon affiliate and its really good for me, that's real product...And ref. rate is not 4% its on start of month, if you sold 6 items you got 5 or 6% ref, and if you sell more in on month you getting up your ref. rate till 9% its really ok for me.

I think that conversion rate of ~9%-12% on Amazon site is better even if the commission is lower than CB site with 1% conversion rate. Eventually you will make more money with Amazon. You just can't lose with the best online "store". They know what their doing - more than 99% of Clickbank vendors.
 
Clickbank is better if you use paid traffic or promote it right, definitely more profitable with the right effort. Amazon on other hand, converts if you have traffic, but some of the stuff gives shitty commission. So you gotta pick one and do it right.
 
The two are entirely based on product and sales copy. This is like comparing the special Olympics to a special black ops military unit. Just because both have special in it, i.e. Amazon and Clickbank both are affiliate platforms supported. It entirely depends on how good YOU are at sales copy, psychology, and gathering targeted traffic. I'd say that a clickbank product can convert better than a Amazon product if it is in the hands of a strategical master.
 
AM with Amazon is amazingly easy to do, they walk you through EVERYTHING. I just helped my fiancee set up a blog for herself, and taught her where to look for amazon links.. and they showed her the rest.

There is one HUGE downside to Amazon, and that is on the return days. If they do not buy on that session, you do not get a commission. The cookie is a session cookie, so your pre-sell has to be rock solid.. then you gotta hope Amazon finishes the sale... unlike other programs where you might still easily get credit if they return later.

One big upside, though, is that you can get payouts with as little as $10 in the account. You can only get the small amounts in gift cards to amazon though, but you can find something you would buy from there to spend it​


 
Does amazon allow paid traffic in your site? Like for example AdWords?
