Possibly I am asking an odd question but I am really stuck, I want to start a website exclusively to sell. Before it was easy, people were doing amazing with amazon niche sites in past, but I am not sure if it still effective in 2015. I am not ready for authority website as it required lots of work and I am new and really scared to start at least right now. It would be really helpful if anyone share his/her experience about amazon niche sites, are they really history now, as every person inform outside the blackhatworld.
I am not a native English speaker so sorry in advance for typos and error.

Either one will require lots of hard work.

What is your differential? What makes your site unique? Is your audience gonna be more prone to consume online services or physical goods?

For online services Adsense is probably better. If your target is selling physical goods, then Amazon.

Seems people are still building doorway sites but it's only a matter of time. You don't need to be a full on authority site, just be sure to offer value and everything in moderation, especially when it comes to keyword usage and affiliate links. My opinion at least :)

Both of them are great if you work hard. Its not 2010 that you can make money from 5 articles micro niche. Now if you want to make money you need to rank. For better rank you need good content. There are plenty of Amazon Affiliate and Adsense case studies are in IM Journey Section. Take time to read them all.

Amazon niche sites are still doing really well and they don't have to be authority sites either. You can cover a sub niche in about 15-30 good quality posts/pages.

The thing is, if you want to get a good price you'll need to be ranking and making sales. Have you had any success with niche sites already? Do you know SEO? Have you got good quality content providers?

It sounds like you're pretty new to the game so the best thing you can do is read everything you can here on the forum, and just get started. Realistically your first site might not make anything, but experience is key when it comes to making money. Even if your site makes only $100 a month you should be able to sell for 20x that if you sell on a site like Empire Flippers.
