Hey guys. I started my Amazon niche site back in June '14 and saw pretty good growth. Things have gone downhill this month and I don't know why because my site is gaining more traffic.

December '14:
Profit: $412
Amazon clicks: 1104
Conversion: 8.52%

January '15 (so far)
Profit: $73
Amazon Clicks: 848
Conversion: 2.95%

I understand that December can maybe be inflated because of people buying gifts. But my site sells items that aren't really 'gift' items and are non-seasonal. I'm using a mix of EasyAzon links and the standard Amazon given affiliate links (for tables). Does anyone have any clues as to potential problems?

Gifts or not, January is crap for all of us Az people, pretty certain of that. I call it the Amazon hangover.

December: $1000+ across 20 different niches.
January so far: $150 or something, same sites.

I am experiencing the opposite. Last month, I made $332 and this month I am near $400 already, so its not happening for everyone.

No, my traffic has increased.. as it should because the site is still growing.

** I will say that there were a few strange days... I was plugging along nicely, making 8-15 sales a day but two separate times, I had days were there were NO sales. I found that odd but I guess you just never can tell.

2.95% is still a good conversion rate for January.
Don't worry too much about the numbers, they will eventually go back ( by mid-end Feb) to what they were in Sept-Oct last year.

Try to not be attached to the December figures or else you will always be unhappy about how you perform.
