Amazon - test purchase on my affiliate link - no commission earned

Hey all,

I had a friend visit my amazon niche site and click the link to make a small purchase on amazon to check and see if i would get a 'sale' (and commission) - just to make sure everything was working

I never got credit for a sale (and no commission of course)

any idea why this would be? It was a week ago, so its not a timing thing i wouldnt think

Are you sure he click your affiliate link and not clicking other affiliate link before buying?

Or maybe you put wrong affiliate link.

They do track your digital fingerprints (IP, UA, cookie, etc.). They know it's you unless you used a different machine from a different network and ship to a different address using a different payment details.

ahhhh......he did order from my house ( i watched him and showed him which website to go to and what to click.....)

he used his laptop and his amazon sign in info and shipped to his address

maybe they figured the ip was same since it was from my place....
