1)OK: I am in the same boat.... trying to reestablish a new Amazon seller account.
2)I purchased "Blacklisted by KDP", and am following the author's steps, which he claims to work.
3)Can someone please confirm whether I do or do not need to buy a new pc/laptop to avoid Amazon's tracking, i.e. Mac address, EIN eprom number, etc..... or can I simply follow the directions outlined in "Black Listed by KDP"?
Here are the steps outlined in his manual:
1) CCleaner for cookies
2) Delete "Flash" cookies
3) Change computer name
4) Change Workgroup
5) Add new user account
6) Use a private VPN IP address or private VPS IP address
7) Verify the IP has not been banned yet by checking DOOVPN
8) Get an EIN number for the business account
9) Get a new address, i.e. a new P.O. Box address
10) Get a new telephone number... i.e. a Skype toll-free or other
11) Get a new email address for the new account
12) BTW, on setting up new account, I am still using the same computer but have now! I am not changing computers.... only changing over to the new user account and using the new private IP address now.
13) OTHER things I am not doing are:
Get a new internet provider, buy a new computer, new router, or changed Mac addresses.
14) I will still be selling ebooks, but a different category this time.
15) Oh yes ... I also changed browsers to one without plugins, etc... to avoid browser fingerprinting.
.... So, am I safe with the above strategy or is Amazon going to link me with a mistake I have made somewhere with the above steps?
Bottom line.... is the above advice correct or not.... or do I need to be more pro-active, i.e. but new computer, change IPs, etc.
I am about to go live with my first new ebooks so I really need to know now if I am making a mistake somewhere.
Any advise is appreciated.
Thanks.
