Well not quite yet ..but i had the amazon affill email today stating that i had 90 days left of my 180 days before they kick my ass off the program.

so in my earlier post i argued that maybe amazon wasn't the best way to go as they have made it so difficult for new entries to actually make any cash with their affiliate solution. I was effectively slated for my view. ripped to shreds if i recall...

so my site is 2 months old no back links 25 articles 2k +each lots of time effort in between work and the kids. STEADILY building up the word count with every free second.. trying to learn as i go ..waiting for google to list me...

listening to the advice on how not to buy BL just yet as its a new site etc etc...ok so continue to build content whilst i wait for some sort of indication of where my articles/kws will rank ...

then i was told today i have 90 days to get at least 3 customers or my ass is kicked out!

Is this right?

i thought that it would take google 6 months at least to show any new site in the listings?

or did i just join amazon too soon ? should i have just created all the content then added amazon products later?

the trouble is i started with a ready made site (purchased from bhw) that had products already on it

wtf am i supposed to do with that ???? delete the products? draft the posts for a later date? if im going to do that then its pointless buying a kick start site

so here lies one of the many problems buying jump start affil sites based on amazon ... you need at least 6 months to rank worth a shit...and amazon gives you 180 days to make a sale or your out.. so you have 6 months to rank and get sales or amazon kicks you out.

of course the "guru" never told me this at point of sale ..just the opposite "youll rank quickly for this kw my friend" ....
but at least someone is making bank from amazon ...it aint me and it aint amazon though..

You can always re-apply it's not the end of the world. I am pretty sure it states it right in that email as well.

It'll take at least 3 months before articles find the spot they'll rank in naturally without links. So my general advice is always to wait atleast 3 months before signing up for amazon.

But even after they kick you out you can reapply shortly after when you know your site is getting traffic.

yea it does but tbh is it worth it ..its a lot of hassle ..there are so many hoops to jump through and these are changing continuously ..

are you making anything with amazon though? im thinking of add networks if and when my pages get traffic? surely this would be better?

Why not pay 3 friends and ask them to buy from your site / aff link :p ( just a thought )

haha :D i'm not very sure about that, they might give you another 6 months for another 3 sales or something.

I was somewhat in a similar situation like yours a few years ago with Amazon. I linked it to my Pinterest i think or Instagram but didn't realize they had that "probation sales period" and ended up losing my account. ( never bothered with Amazon again after that since i spent like a month or more creating a website myself and losing my account was a slap in the face )

You can maybe try the "3 friend" thing and see what Amazon does / asks you to do after that.

Goodluck! :)

And the bad thing is... Theyre so big they don't care. Luckily I have no problems, only with Facebook
