    Hey BHW
I'm in need of some advice in regards to amazon affiliate sites I have started.
Basically I have set up 2 amazon sites and I have been hearing and reading from a few sources that you should let amazon dedicated sites sit for at least 3 months before doing any major link building.
1 site is a review website using the prettylink WP plug in for 301 redirects on all amazon affiliate links (1.5 Months old)
1 site is a Ecommerce set up utilizing a 90 day cookie with a blog. (7 days old)

Apparently google dosnt favor new Amazon driven websites and apparently link building can do a lot more harm than good.
I am just wondering if this is 100% accurate or am I worried for nothing and I should start building links tomorrow?, I fear that if I start link building I may tank my websites growth from the very start.
I plan on making these websites authoritative websites with in their niche and I am avoiding any churn and burn processes so I am into the slow and steady wins the race and natural goes all the way kinda thing.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Johnny6667,

This really depends on the type of link building you're going to perform. If someone stumbled upon your awesome website today, then posted it to their established blog and shared it with friends who tweeted about it and posted it in comments on Yahoo answers then I highly doubt your website would plummet into "Google Hell". In my experience, you may begin link building at this point, but take it slow and make it quality.

Part of your goal is to emulate real human interest, nothing wrong with doing that now as long as it looks like real human interest.

better start with social media. If you do have some interesting blog post you might as well post it on viralcontentbuzz and let people share it on twitter, fb, stumbleupon, g+ and pinterest. This is what i do whenever i do have some new post. :) I also have a blog like yours and i dont do any link building aside from submitting to stumbleupon and reddit, and posting my new blog posts on the website i mentioned. And i think it is working since i do have some low-medium comp keywords which are on top 3 of SERPS. :)

    Which sources do you read?
I ranking my Amazon affiliate with ease, i just start building link straight away.
For new website 10 links per days. , till about 1 months, then increase to 30 per day.
slowly progress and increase the links count.

First of all you should stop using pretty links to avoid being banned. Trust my word :)
Secondly, you should not spend too much time with e-commerce sites with not much content or copied text. Unless your traffic comes from non-organic sources.
Lastly, start building solid things. Websites with 15-20 pages+ with 5-600 words+make good keyword research and don't buy cheap SEO packages from Fiverr and other similar places.

These are some of the basics in short words.

thanks for the tip I will get rid of the pretty links off my site immediately:)
I do plan to make quality tier 1 links with what you just mentioned, A good portion of them being automated through Ultimate Demon, currently writing multiple articles which I will hand spin, I will also do hand made websites as well with out using automation.

Thats no worries I will do all the SEO myself, I might order an xrumer blast for tier 4 - tier 5 links for what its worth.

Thanks for the tip, are you talking about making 10 tier 1 links per day?

Thanks for the tip, I am currently working on building my social accounts for my review site, so far it is going real well
I am currently working on pinterest, google plus and I will be branching out to twitter and tumblr real soon, I will also start a group in facebook and start inviting people.
I have come into some trouble with reddit when i was a noob and I am pretty sure they have black banned my server ip from posting links so I will be working to get my ip changed before posting to reddit :)

Thanks, thats the main plan, quality over quantity in this case, so social accounts and hand built web 2.0's and articles and general SEO link building will be done by myself.
Not looking to getting myself banned so I am going to try to take it as slow as I can.

Just out of curiosity how many links should I start building per day?
    tier 1?
    tier 2?
    tier 3?

    Thanks in advance

Yes. That plugin redirects the visitor and the visitor never knows he will be sent to Amazon. Which is against Amazon rules.
