Amazon Refund Method?

I've noticed that some returns to Amazon only offer the option of returning the funds to the original payment method, while other returns have the option of return to gift card. Is there a way to tell which items on Amazon can be returned to gift card prior to purchasing the item?

I've not been able to notice a pattern in the listings to know the refund method by trial and error. Is the info amongst any given listing on Amazon?
