Amazon Refund After 2 Years

So in June 2021 i bought a portable air-con £460 from Amazon
and i used it for 2 summers June/Sept 2021 and 2022.
in total around 6 months usage give or take..

I bought it to help me breath easier on warm nights after my stent surgery.
So in June 2023, i set the air-con up again, this time the case of the air-con
had a slight hum-vibration when running.

so i thought ill speak to Amazon - i know its been 2 years,
after a long chat with a Jamaican rep - he refunded me £100
to get the hum / vibration fixed. If you dont ask, you dont get.

Damn after 2 years I thought they wouldn't refund anything at all...

What if you were the seller in this case?
 
Here in Amazon EU there are some warranty extensions that even full refund after 4 years and they are not too expensive. For some products that are well known to be obsolete and broken after they second year of life like most smartphones, this is a great deal
 
I bought a book from amazon but after ordering it I regret it so I canceled the order and got my money back. They sent me the book anyway.
 
When did Russel Hobbs move from lean grills to the air con market too lol
 
Great now every jackass out there will try this and they’ll cancel this policy altogether.

i was so impressed with how the Jamaican rep was helpful with
a 25% refund to fix the humming sound - which is now fixed
i also bought another portable air-con

i had a similar problem with a kettle a couple of months
ago, i bought it, and the heating element blew out
Another Russel Hobbs item, they replaced the kettle
and refunded the item as well.

another update on this - after buying the air con in 2021 £460
Amazon refunded £100 June 2023 to fix a vibration hum
from the unit.

in August 2024 - Amazon refunded the remaining balance
after 3 yrs. just over £300 as wallet credit. in total i got
a 98% refund after 3 yrs .....see if you ask nice ............
