sorry for the newb question but when creating an amazon niche site I see everybody saying to rank first for long tail words such as “best golf clubs for left handed children” instead of “golf clubs”.

does this basically mean you should create your content around the longer phrases first but still base your website on golf clubs for instance? Or base your whole site around the long tail words?

I seem to be finding the wider niches just don’t know where to begin when it comes to long tail.

Someone could be searching; 'golf clubs' and they're wanting to find the history of them, possibly.
Using the long tale example above ( best golf clubs for left handed children ), they are looking to solve a requirement.
