Amazon Listing - Will it Rank?

Hey guys,

For an Amazon listing, would it be work creating some articles on various sites (pdf, press release etc) setting up some mass blog commenting on GSA and pushing it like fuck?

I'm think as it's not my money site it would rank.... But would like to get some advice first.

P.S. I have GSA Ranker also ;)

Sales rank (also known as the Amazon Best Sellers Rank) is one of the most important ranking factors.

Are you asking if this will improve your ranking on Amazon or in Google?

On Google mate.. I have all sorts of a strategies for Amazon. But I part of ranking on Amazon is external traffic. So want to see if I can move the listing on Google

That's what I figured but just checking. I've been trying to get a concrete answer on this as well but can't seem to find a whole lot of data.

I did come across a video by Orange Klik where he specifically recommends building press release links to your Amazon listing to send external traffic signals and potentially boost the ranking, but I haven't tested it out yet.

I do know that Google usually shows the #1 ranked product on Amazon for whatever search query you're using. So if you Google "bamboo spatula" and an Amazon listing comes up, it'll most likely be whatever bamboo spatula is ranked #1 on Amazon for that query (at least that's what I have always seen).

The question is can we override that by building links to our listing page so our product shows up instead even if it's not #1 on Amazon yet.

Hit me up if you wanna brainstorm on anything Amazon related. I've been in the FBA game for about 6 years now and have a good amount of experience with it; sounds like you do as well. There aren't many of us on BHW it seems.
 
I suspect that Google will still rank an Amazon listing based on Google ranking factors of wihch relevant backlinks is a factor. I suspect if you do all the usual things that rank a 'normal' page, the same things will help you rank your Amazon page. This will include relevant backlinks, CTR, relevancy of the content etc.

Yeah I'm the same. Built quite a few businesses on Amazon in various niches. But all for my employers of course!

I was running GSA and firing links at Amazon. But didn't do much. Not that I expected it too. As they weren't great.

But even if it's social profile links etc I might just do it.

But yeah sounds good man! Definitely not a lot of us Amazon SEOs around.
 
If you cannot directly rank your product on google, you can try to rank your website by doing what your doing now such as blog posts, create videos on youtube or other types of content on social media.

could consider to post on google shop instead.
