Amazon is working hard day in day out to erase Black Hat SEO practices on its platform. Their change algorithm SEO aims at creating a market where free forces of demand operate. Currently people are duped into buying what is not the best for them.

Consumer Behavior

The latest Amazon algorithm change which is referred to as the A10, focuses more on consumer behavior more than anything else. If your product sells more and is liked by more people, it will stand out immediately. Your competitors will come below.

Creative Amazon seller should also look outside the Amazon e-commerce space. Ranking first for emerging keywords is bound to make algorithms favor you. Basically, the algorithms will rank you highly when your product is visible to the consumer, hugely sells, people spend time on the product even if they do not purchase.

Selling cheaply than your competitors is bound to make you sell more .

Reduction in Phrases to Below 250 Characters

Amazon has lately claimed that smaller sizes of descriptions and keywords used, helped in improving search results. From these, one should look at those words that sum up what you want to address. Synonyms are crucial in showing the originality of the product in question. It is also wise for one to avoid the use of spaces commas and full stops. Moreover, one should avoid using same keywords in different formats. Earlier people used capital letters in small letters to make optimization effective.250 characters are about 42 words hence they should be edited very carefully to rank.

Some other methods are also there, which can be effective now after this A10 updates.

What about books? The same algorithm is used for both books and other products? What main factors that influence on book ranking nowadays? (After A10 integration).

But as per amazonA10: algo is same for all products.

Maybe you can tell some more info on the main factors that influence ranking now? Or what the main changes between A9 and A10? Thank you!

a lot .fake reviews may affect negatively for your product.
fake listing using bots can be fatal.
SEM, PPC, proper SEO & real listing is now the real factor of rank improvement.
But it depends upon the products.
Like: for ebooks product, SEM & SMM is giving a better result than PPC.

Thanks for tips. Have tried PPC but it shows very unstable results (at least on my niches) to rely on it. Looking forward to try SMM. What do you mean about SEM? Listing optimization?

SEM= search engine marketing.
there are a lot of other techniques as well, which are blueprints and not shared by any SEO consultants.
we also have different strategies
