Amazon Influencer Program

Is anyone in the Amazon Influencer Program? I recently got accepted but the payouts almost seem too good to be true. If you record enough product reviews it turns into a passive income stream.

Everything about it seems like the ‘perfect’ cash flow stream, record and upload videos, users who already intend to buy see your review, you get paid.

So as with anything else I am wondering what the catch is.

Recording reviews for products isn’t hard, I can think of 20 things in my room that is probably on Amazon and another 50 in my house that also is most likely on Amazon.


So what’s the deal? What am I missing here?

commission rates are generally very low (1-4%) other than luxury beauty / amazon games and a few other categories.

I don't think he meant Amazon Associates, i think he speaks specifically about their influencer program that "encourages" reviewers to post their review on Amazon instead let's say Youtube using some CPM payouts if i remember (I heard about it once, but didn't look into it much).

This way Amazon gets the content right into the product, keeps the rights to use it and ensures the user doesn't leave to search for it on Youtube which might defer him from the sale or attach an associate ID on the sale which will eat their profit.

Do remember that Amazon and these big corps, often change policies when they "Achieved Their Goal" which is why if you do decide to do it, try to do it on videos without many video reviews, as they will probably pay you more for products without much reviews and for longer if your the only detailed video there.

In general, I think that it is a great idea, if you can commit to creating review videos at scale there is a lot of money to be made in commissions.

Don't forget you can also edit different videos and reuse them across TikTok / Youtube / Other Shorts.

But it's like you mentioned in your TikTok follow along, you need to avoid the Shiny object syndrome and just know that the results will snow ball over time with the right consistency and determination.
