Amazon - How many affiliate links per post ?

Hi, I'm building my first Amazon Affiliate site. It's around 1 month old now and has around 4K words of content on it. I decided to put in my affiliate links into the posts today and was wondering how many affiliate links can be placed in one post ?

This is how i'm currently linking :

Let's say the post is about the "Top 5 iphone covers" and is 1k words long.

In the introduction part, I have a table listing all the 5 covers with their images, cover's name etc.
I'm linking both the image as well as the name of each cover in the table with my affiliate link.

Further in the post, I've got a brief description of each of the 5 covers.
Each of these description has the product image and a 'Buy Now' button, both of which have my affiliate link.

That's about 20 affiliate links in one post.
I'm pretty sure that i'm overdoing it.

I'd like to ask for you guy's thoughts and advises.

I'm not sure, I just use one url and one widget on my site.
 
I have a similar setup like yours. I just make sure I nofollow all those links and it's okay.
Like 10 products would mean about 30 affiliate links because of the image and CTA buttons
 
You should use 5 links per post. I think it's safer for your products.
 
There's no magic number. I suggest you to use 2-3 links for every 700-word. So, if you have an article of 2000 words, you can use 6-9 affiliate links.

More than that can hurt you and make you site look spammy.

Also, make sure your affiliate links are no-followed!

20 looks like a bit too much, i'd suggest about 3-10 intext links.

Overall make sure you highlight them so they're easier to find + to optimize conversions.

I had no-followed every outgoing link from my site from the very beginning but thanks for the tip!

I'll reduce the affiliate links to 15 by (removing them from the table) for now.

By in-text you mean to make those links contextual instead of the explicit 'Buy Now' type links ?
 
You can use many, depends on you. In my opinion, Maximum 3 But they should be No-Follow, 307 Redirected. You can Use Amazon Widget.

Decrease your aff links with good call to action and no-follow ing the links should be good enough.
 
add links when it make sense for your readers , ex: when your are speaking about how is cheap this product then add link with "check current price"
 
You can add as many links as you wish,
But your each link should make sense, Not overwritten and useless.

I usually add 1 affiliate link for every 300-400 words, but for an article like you've described you can't really help but have more.

As long as not every article on your site is stuffed with affiliate links you should be okay. I include a few general information articles too that don't have any affiliate links and that helps to balance things out.

Whether it makes a difference or not, I don't know for sure. When it comes to Google though I don't like to take any chances!

I know this is an old post but is the number of words looked at site wide or per post? Say I have 10 affiliate links in a post and it's only 1000 words, but I have another post with no affiliate links and it's 8000 words. Is it by the post or the overall site content/word count?
 
per univax post, just get loads shit of them on the top, the middle and content

e.g. title and image and action button.

IMO, Google looks at each page while counting affiliate links - not the entire site.

For a 4000 word post, I wouldn't have more than 10 affiliate links. For 1000 to 2000 word articles, I try to limit the number of affiliate links to 7.

Also, you would not want to have affiliate links above the fold.

Some sites have way more than 10 affiliate links - and Google doesn't seem to care about that right now. But you never know when things might change.

I wouldn't nofollow every outbound link - only affiliate links. If you nofollow every outbound link, you are in essence telling Google you do not trust any of the sites you link to - and that isn't a good signal to give Google.
 
You can use as many links as you want/need to better your conversion rate.
As long as you don't show fix prices, you don't use any Iframe,etc you are safe.
regarding the Privacy Policy, my advice is to use the tipicall form they offer.
