Hi Schindler , u have inspire me to try new method to make money .
I have one simple (not really simple) question , how you and your team move now with the chinese deasease? If coronavirus spread in the world , i think all amazon business, and in general dropshipping have really big problem.
What is the next direction now? i think find alternative to chinese supplier is a must.
Things are getting pretty dirty! Amazon already closed its FBA for most of the products & its certainly going to hurt my business majorly.
Prior to this Pandemic - Chinese were off because of their new year. SO we are left with pretty much limited quantities. So I have worked on similar business models where I could do more of dropshipping directly from other countries.
Will see how it works out.
I have seen a pretty much spike in terms of sales after the corono virus outbreak in the USA. Sales are sky rocketing but stocks will run out soon. Each of our seller accounts are doing reasonable numbers. Amazon has also softened up a bit for late deliveries & such.
I just hope that this corona virus is over soon so everything could be back to normal again. I also ended up losing two seller accounts because of listing corona virus related products dropshipping - so anyone planning to do so. Amazon is crazily coming after such accounts.
About an update on this Journey.
I am currently working on three business models. I'll write small details on all three of them
1. Dropshipping or Retail Arbitrage - Walmart to Amazon / Warehouses to Amazon or through some agents over there.
It has been working fine until last few months & amazon started to crack it down completely but we have still been able to earn decent profits there. Amazon now requires an invoice for anything you sell prior to any intellectual property claims which makes it really hard for us to work with them. They don't accept real invoices even & they don't like receipts from walmart & similar! Before if any brand made any intellectual property claim - we'll have it reverted as we were sourcing mostly from the brand itself. Now its a little more steep!
This model is still one of the top grossing models that I adopt to make money through Amazon.
I have started selling mostly from walmart to amazon now after researching really thoroughly like what could be the most beneficial & it works out well so far.
2. Fullfilled by Amazon - Finding old unattended listings or expired trademarks & getting them manufactured through China. That pretty much explains itself.
This is my second top grossing model right now.
3. Private Label. Its evergreen & with least problems but you bound most of your investments.
Competitors are more like assholes who would leave you negative feedbacks right after you created a listing without even having a single purchase from a real buyer. Just yesterday Amazon did a wipe out for Amazon Reviews & deleted 50% of the organic reviews we generated after real thorough efforts.
This model is sustainable but not so profitable to get started with - Have different type of challenges but could work for a longer time. We have tens of seller accounts on Amazon now with this business model & we are slowly trying to keep scaling it up.
It will have most of our attention in 2020.
