Rank is improving.. I am #12 now.. I shifted to just one product on my account..
Great thread and great progress so far. A few questions I hope you don't mind answering:
1.) Are these $ 1.3k today all coming from that 1 listing at position 12 on amazon for main keyword?
2.) Getting that many sales a day on position #12 without receiving any external traffic must mean that the product has quite high search volume on amazon, correct?
I do understand that you don't want to give away your product but do you mostly go for 10k+ search volume or even 1k+? What is your bottom line (you only stated "moderate to high search volume" without giving any range)?
3.) You also said you only go for "low number of amazon results", right? What is your bottom-line here? I assumed you'd only go for products that have max 5-6 of other listings for main keyword or even less but considering you are on #12, did you make an exception?
4.) Let's say you have about 1-2 pages full of listings for main keyword, would you still go for it as long as your product can be differentiated significantly from your competitors (I am thinking along the lines of changing the look of the product so your listing image sticks out or adding an addon to the actual product people are looking for with the main keyword)?

Alright, I will clarify it for you!
I created a listing for a keyword that was just an ordinary with low search results & no competition at all! It was a long tail keyword & I happen to rank on it very first day & started to get 5-10 sales a day. Later the listing started to optimize itself & start to rank for a gigantic keyword of 1m searches a month & I am #12 for that listing now. I am hopeful that once I am top 5 I am hitting 100 sales a day for sure.
Any budget is fine but should be over 2000 a month! If you are looking to earn with amazon doing nothing.. Take a look at my signatures.. Since I am from Pakistan I am looking for partners who can rent me their Seller Accounts!
Yes, I am ACTUALLY from Pakistan & I have US warehouses who fill FBM orders for me.

You mentioned in your original post that you are doing mostly FBA; I thought only people located in US could do that, and now I see you live in Pakistan, right?

You can do FBA even if you live with monkeys in Jurassic World! You just need to have your supplier ship them to FBA for you..

amazing journey, could u give us the insight about desing packaging side how do u do it, and also how much time took u the keyword reasearch phase, is this your first keyword you try or having some failure earlier before finding that keyword ?

I also sell on Amazon but use a fulfillment center for my products. Things are going great and I am looking to transfer that business over to my wife since I made more in 3 weeks than she does in 18 months of work. I want to start concentrating on FBA.
I have a few questions that perhaps you can clarify:
1. Once you have found the product you are going to sell on Amazon and turn to Alibaba, are you simply buying a product that exists or are you creating a new product and adding your brand.
2. Since Amazon is fulfilling the orders, do you need to pay Alibaba for packaging for each product you sell or do they simply put it all in a big box, without individual packaging and Amazon does it for you?

I am not doing Alibaba until now as I have a US Manufacturer!
Already reached 20k a month goal.. I am hitting around 1k+ everyday now so looks like I'll average 30k a month as the days passes by! I am doing only one product right now & plan to move to 2 or 3 products shortly in few days.. Here are current stats..
