what advices would u give to someone willing to start in amazon fba?
how did you start and who was your mentor (if you had one)?
Today I would go only for digital products. Self published books via Kindle, print on demand, etc.
Any physical products are break even and nothing to get rich on.
No mentor, that's a waste of money. You have all the resources you need online for free. Not only for Amazon.

Seems like I end up going down a rabbit hole with each search leading to some product pitch or basic instructions on how to find a niche and create my own digital product to sell.
I guess the main thing Im trying to learn is whether or not I can sell existing digital products on Amazon FBA or do I have to create my own digital product to sell there or like on A Ignite or something.

What are the primary differences between dropshipping and amazon? Isn't amazon fba basically just dropshipping through amazon where they hold the product, handle the shipping. etc.?

in my experience, doing physical products through Amazon FBA is risky unless you have enough capital to spend.
there are many uncertainties such as copyright strike, amazon penalties etc.
once you have infringe the rules even unintentionally, you will lose all your fund and account including products in FBA inventory.
please make sure you are prepared enough to do this.

It works well but as you are new, you should take some training or watch plenty of YT videos to know the ins and out of business. It's not easy but with enough knowledge and training, it can be very profitable.
