I sell £5 an item. I have around 8-16 sales a day, but more on the low side. I usually sell on average 10 a day, so £50 a day. I have 200,000 items up. I believe eBay throttle sales, or reduce visibility for some reason. I'm a Top Rated Seller, 99.7% positive feedback, over 2000.

I got my own repricer designed for around $600, and my own amazon ripper, and use a professional responsive template and all my listings look awesome.

Now my costs per month are around £300 for vps server (to run repricer), widgetchimp, and anchor store.

So selling an average of £50 a day for 30 days, I make £1500 a month. Minus £300 costs, I usually make £1200 a month. My best month I ever had was April, which I ended up with £1500 after costs.

But I've also had a lot of trouble with eBay banning me from revising my items and uploading new ones for 30 days, twice. Plus trouble with their bloody limits system. For example this month I probably broke even, cause I got banned for uploading for 30 days, because I accidently uploaded a restricted item by mistake. So I made no profit this month. Luckily I had some CCTV installation work this month so I took a break from the ebay thing.

Even though I've yet to fully test all the categories out or this to it's full potential. I wouldn't say this is an awesome method, it's very saturated, and it isn't easy to make over £100 constantly, or I just don't know how yet. Though when I was selling at £1 profit, I was making 80-100 sales/£80-£100 a day. But imho, I'd recommend people try and find something they could flip more easily.

Imo, ebay is all about the best prices and feedback. It doesn't matter if your listings are plain or boring and has 1 picture. I see people with so many sales with boring plain listings just because they sell the cheapest in their category, which dropshipping will never truely give you.

Anyway dropshipping can be a lot of hassle, I'd wouldn't recommend it for the amount of work you have to put in to get to my point. But it's also a scenario of don't throw your baby out with the bath water. Even though I'm finding it hard to upscale and push sales/profit, and have hassle with ebay bans and limits. I'm still making £1200 for about 30 mins work, so it's definitely a good supplementary income on the side.

Great response, very interesting to see the sheer volume of listings vs sales per day. How many of these listings are you dropping and relisting each month? Do you have regular daily sellers? With 200k listings I assume you have free insertion fees?

Also, have you tried utilizing the amazon affiliates program to make additional cash off your dropshipping? I have used it for the past 2 months and received my first payment already. I would think with your volume it would need to be spread over several affilliate accounts. Im avg 100-150 sales/month. I plan to double my listings for aug when I upgrade my store.

I know this may be a little off topic for the thread, but how does the affiliate method work exactly? I am averaging 4-7 sales a day and I am thinking this could help me. Is there any risk involved?

With those conversion rates and that massive amount of listings, I assume you do not title your own items. I strongly recommend you do. I sell about 1% of my items everyday with a margin of about 10%. I believe this largely is because I individually title all my listings myself. Otherwise you will have the exact same title as somebody who probably has a lower price.

Just make an account, google amazon affiliates. Then before you make your orders each day, you use your affiliate links so that it looks like your generating sales thru your websites. I think this is working for me well so far because I have websites that already generate amazon affiliates traffic and sales. I would think that if you start a brand new affiliate account and immediately start selling like $200+/day everyday, they would throw down the ban.

Really the worst thing that could happen is that your affiliate account is closed, and any earnings due to you are deleted. So the risk is in just not taking the risk. I also spread out my orders over 2-3 prime burner accounts each month so that they overlap some, and therefore its not just one prime account ordering from the 1st - 30th and then, boom, new account for next 30 days. Just looks unnatural.

But from what I've seen, Amazon borderline does not give a shit and just loves selling millions of items a day however it happens.

I agree, the manual tweaking of product titles and images is required for optimum clickthru into your listings. Taking into account that a lot of the time an auto listing script will push your items into the wrong category, put the shittiest image into main image and featured lisitng image spot, etc. Not to mention that I've found more than a few item descriptions that include information that is an absolute dead giveaway that you are dropshipping from Amazon, or includes irrelevant info or wording that is just not what you want.

Profits are 1-4$ per and selling about 120/month. Some items i make $10/sale its just all figuring out what things will sell for. My script is setup to reprice between 30%-48% over amazon price
 
If this is the case how does one get funds from the non legit PayPal? is the stealth eBay's being used with legitimate PayPal's?

just one at the moment but have recently set up a second ebay and paypal account with an old bank account that is still at a previous address. have not used it yet.

Anyone know if this will cause me any problems if i start selling form the second ebay account?
 
they are new ebay and pp accounts, just an old bank acc that has not had Ebay or PP linked to it before, should it be ok?
