Amazon Closing Affiliate Account

So my 3rd attempt at keeping my Amazon account open failed...

just checked my email today after making a few conversions last week to an email which said the following:
We do not allow the use of URLs, trademarks, logos, etc. that include words that are trademarked by Amazon.com LLC. This includes variations or misspellings of any trademarked words. We are therefore unable to approve your application. Accordingly, we have closed the account under which you had been temporarily approved and that approval has now ended.

If your website has been further developed and now contains appropriate content, you are welcome to submit another application by using the following URL:

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join

I checked my site, at no point do I use any trademarks, except for my "check out on Amazon" button. - Which is in yellow etc to match amazon.

I take it as this is the issue? Anyone had anything similar?

Also, anyone know if I can get the money left in the account lol. Was like 40$ so I can bear the loss
 
You will get your money, I earned like $2 and when they closed my account (multiple times) I got a check for whatever amount that was in the account before closing.

I had a similar problem with them. They closed my account because I downloaded images from them, uploaded them to my website and linked them with my affiliate link. The proper way is to use the HTML code for images that you can from them. Are you doing that as well?

I don't think the button is the problem. Maybe change color or something. I usually write "Check out on Amazon" or "Read more on Amazon" and never had a problem because of that. You can also email them and ask specifically where is the problem.

I'm actually using AAWP plugin to display my offers so my image linking etc is all okay.

I've sent them an email, but i'll change the colour anyway...

I didn't get around to submitting payment details lol.

You can only use the buttons they provide. You can't even use images from Amazon directly that are saved on your server. You need to actually embed them via their platform and even put "source" there. Got this directly from support. I have one site that I still believe is ban-proof, I can send it over to you via PM. I also have a copy of that convo with Amazon sup.

I asked amazon support about AAWP plugin once, and they say this plugin is fine to use. So the problem should be somewhere else.

The thing with Amazon ( and some other big companies ) is the person you speak to on one day gives you advice which is only partly correct, yet you speak to a different c/s adviser an hour later who tells you something different.

Best to always keep a record of the conversation and then you can show it to the next c/s agent.

Where does it say that?
I just checked the t&c and the only thing to do with buttons is
"(j) You will not modify, redirect, suppress, or substitute the operation of any button, link, or other feature of the Amazon Site."

That was a wrong formulation. If you want to use their logo or any other trademarked item in the button, you can only use their buttons.

Hey, can you send me your website? I am also thinking of starting an amazon affiliate account here where I work if the numbers make sense. We already have a lot of traffic, so it would just involve making the website "Amazon Proof" essentially. Thanks in advance!!

Huh? I'm new to the affiliate game - but I am genuinely curious as to why not? Are you afraid of people stealing your ideas? That makes perfect sense. If it is because of a different reason, I'd love to know! I don't know what I'm doing regarding amazon affiliate stuff, so I'd appreciate an honest answer.

You can google my name and find my websites. I have a lot of websites about YouTube and social media stuff that gets a lot of traffic, so I am confined to selling products that these people/businesses would be buying. This includes things like cameras, headphones, video recording stuff, etc.

I'd appreciate it if you could send me some website that you know is "up to stuff" regarding the approval of amazon affiliate! Thank you again! :D

Rule number one in SEO industry. Do not share anything with anyone. Whether it's your affiliate sites or PBNs. You never know the true intentions and it's better to simply keep your stuff private than regret it later. :) There's tons upon tons of scammers in this industry. :) My 2 cents.

Interesting. Fair point - I'll keep that in mind!! Any idea how I could go about finding an example site that you know is amazon affiliate approved? Thanks!

Any Amazon site that has Amazon links there is Amazon approved most likely.

Just google this "“We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites." And you will find hundreds.
 
You cant have word Amazon on a custom made button. Call or chat with Amazon support before implementing changes to website.

Hahah gimme a link to your site brah... but in all seriousness, just buy some public pbn posts. Look at all the people buying links and steal their keywords :D
