Pretty sure it's active now, it'll be in your panel. Now you just have to keep on making sales or they'll disable your account after so many months

It's gonna be activated now. Not sure if the process is automatic or if some rep will approve it.

You should get a e-mail "Congratulations, your application to the Amazon.com Associates Program has been approved." That's what they've send me after my first shipped item. It usually takes a couple of hours for the full review of your website.

The process is not automatic. I think they will send you a message to let you know if your account is now FULLY active.
They can also denied it and tell you what to do to be eligible.

When you get 1st sale, Amazon will review your website again, then you will be sent an email to know if you are fullly approved to the program or not.

Wait for an email from them, they might approve or reject depending upon your website content.

Yep, after you make your first sale Amazon will then check your site to make sure there is nothing dodgy going on and then they will say "Hey welcome aboard, but watch your step"!

Amazon terminate associate accounts without a second thought.

  • "I have been working on this site for a year." ....... DGAF, YOUR OUT!
  • "I didn't know I was violating your TOS" ....... DGAF, YOUR OUT!
  • "I bought this software and it violated your TOS" ....... DGAF, YOUR OUT!
  • "I promise to change to make you love me!" ....... DGAF, YOUR OUT!
  • "If we use lube, we can try again" ....... DGAF, YOUR OUT!

There is a pattern here. Well apart from the last point, or maybe not.

ANYWAY.............

The Amazon associates programme can be a great residual income stream, but they are huge as an organisation and have many unfriendly eyes trained on them and their every move.

So read the TOS and if you are not sure about anything ask Amazon, via chat, and get screen shots should something go pear shaped at a later stage.

PJ :)
