I've been a member here for a while but never really posted
My Amazon Associate account got banned a few days ago and i lost about 3k dollars! And when i asked them why, they said i was automatically generating clicks on a different site, which i realized it's c00kie stuffing which i'v never done nor i want to, so turns out someone else puts my Affiliate id on a forum and starts tagging it for a day! Then he comes out to me and admits it was him, i was shocked how could someone do that to you and got more shocked how easily Amazon will ban you! With no warning!
I tried to explain it wasn't me doing that and i had no idea what's going on. But their robotic reply was " it's final and you're banned for good" something like that. smh...
and i'v also read recently that Amazon wont let you to put your links on any other sites, no where. so no more social networking or whatever. Only your own site. They gone extremely strict and two of my friends also encountered the same problem/ban but with different reasons.
So i think Amazon is not the same anymore. I now can say for sure that once your traffic source changes They ban you in a heart beat, It sucks, really does. And they got more sensitive with referrers once you try to block it or fake it, or the traffi you send over Amazon goes from a different site than what you put in your Application, it will raise a flag and you might find out that your Account is banned the next day you wake up. I confirmed this with a few friends of mine.
So i'm here to warn other to be careful. When semi Honnest Affiliates get banned like this, im not sure what's gonna happen to people who do other stuff.
BTW i don't think opening up another account on Amazon would be a good idea.
