Amazon Associates Account. Need Help

I have applied for an amazon associates account recently. My initial intention was to make a simple site with 10+ posts to get my application approved. I was then going to use the account for an ecommerce type site where I just have products and link them to Amazon. Although when I applied I was immediately granted access to the control center and what not where I can start linking products. Then it says I have to sell an item before they review the application. My question is if I sell an item on my ecommerce site will they review that site or the original site I wanted them to look at. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

They will review the site that sold the item not the one that you were saying IMO.

Could I just give someone money to buy a product from the site I want them to look at because I'm positive they won't approve my second site because it will be 90% products. Or is there any other way I could go about getting approved. Thanks.

Yes, you could just have someone buy something using a link on the site but your Amazon stats will look funny because they will show 1 visit, 1 purchase, and 100% conversion rate. You need some non-converting traffic to blend in.
