Amazon Associate Program

Is there a trick to make the cookie last longer? I mean I saw an affiliate site that has cookie that last 180 days.

The cookies are based on the site that drops them. The publisher can determine how long they want it to last.

Do the Amazon cookies only last 24-hours?

I've attempted a small scale CS job with an iframe and have not sold the product I am promoting in months but have sold many other things. I target a site that men visit but you would not believe how many women items I have sold.. and no, not one of those types of sites.

I like the ideas of sending the email promoting the small priced item and then them buying other larger items.

I do not see Amazon as a source of income - it is my source of gifts. Since they pay me with coupon codes, I then cash those in for TV's etc that I want but can not justify spending cash for. :-)

I've got some ideas... $1k next month with Amazon - here I come. (I am only ay $200 this month but like I said, it is CS on a site with another product that I sell very well.)

I think the question that should be asked is:
Is there a way to drop the cookie on mupltiple computers without people clicking on anything - e.g. through an email or something? This could prove useful especially around Christmas time.

I got the Ban Letter today from Amazon. I was sending ad.fly traffic. =) I should have known better. Good thing I've only spent $30 on ads.

However, being a person totally dependent on search engine traffic, it kinda opened my eyes to other sources of traffic and other ways to make money aside from adsense.

I just started promoting some amazon products on my autoblog with wprobot and I have seen an increase in sales. However, some commissions are less than 4%.

Its true... I see sold amazon products that are credited to me, those are products I am not selling in any of my websites... It seems that the tracking cookies stays for a long time to whoever click my amazon affiliate link.

I make between $50-$100 per month, not much I know, but better than nothing, thats with about 1000 clicks per month

i am new to amazon affiliate, and learn much from this post .thank you.

Making money with amazon was very lucrative and easy three years ago. Before youtube became very strict with duplicate videos. I would just follow up with upcoming movie and game trailers, make some reviews and blast my affiliate links in the description. Easy sales around 1-2k a month. Now, forget about it. Dealing with youtube for trailer videos is a hassle and the competition is so high it ain't even funny.

You can always tape yourself talking about the video or do a review (record yourself). Who knows, if you're funny or good looking it could go viral. Plus it won't be a duplicate.
