Hi i recently started my amazon aff site a few months back. its been going okay earning the odd 5usd here and there - im only ranked up on page 3 at the moment so still very early days. I have hit a dilema though - my main review article focuses on the "best 'product' of 2016" for example The best matress for light sleepers in 2016.

Now I have put a lot of SEO work in this article but now we are coming to the end of 2016... whats the best option? to create a new article to the best matress for light sleepers 2017? whats the best way to do this so we can get all the juice from the 2016 article? 301 redirect? simply linking it within the article?

Interested to hear how other people overcome this.

But the url will still say 2016? if i change the 7 the backlinks will show a 404?

You should never put the year in the Url, for that reason. now you can change the Url leave it without date, and redirect the old Url to the new. there are redirect plug-ins to do that

Okay lesson learnt... i have already 301 redirected this post once, if i redirect again will it lose juice? shall i wait a while for it all to go through? i redirected about a month ago
