Yeah, it was shocking when you take into account it's size and capabilities.

That's what she said. :)

Seriously, though..
It is scary when you consider all the electronics such a small and dangerous chip could be residing in.

The problem under discussion wasn’t just technological. It spoke to decisions made decades ago to send advanced production work to Southeast Asia. In the intervening years, low-cost Chinese manufacturing had come to underpin the business models of many of America’s largest technology companies. Early on, Apple, for instance, made many of its most sophisticated electronics domestically. Then in 1992, it closed a state-of-the-art plant for motherboard and computer assembly in Fremont, Calif., and sent much of that work overseas.

just imagine a chip the size of a tip of a pencil self controlling when server tured on to configure it own self then send info back to it base undetected fucking scary ....

man/woman will destoy the world, this is when computers become very dangrous .

hardware hacks are very rare but when you got a country providing all electronics and got a problam about 1 country asking for trouble really pull out go elesware .

that chip could of took down 30 main companys, that would of made a lot of other investing coutrys go 3rd world (( that the stright to point problam )) ....

that must be the worlds so far biggist attempt to pull the plug on a country .

poor usa not fair.

thank fuck the people who inspect these boards noticed these chips

i dont think , trump will take this laying down

The good thing is that it may bring back some motherboard manufacturing back to the USA. It wont impact the general consumer market, but for companies and agencies that need extra security they aren't going to worry about spending a little extra on a computer with a made in the usa motherboard.
