Based on what I've read here Amazon is a great addition to any website with a good number of visitors.

I want to integrate Amazon with the site but a lot of what Amazon has to offer for advertisement just looks like crap.

I'm wondering what other people are doing in regards to integrating Amazon with their site?

Are you using widgets or aStore? If so are you doing anything special to make the ads look better?

    SOLUTION:

OK- I gave a few of the more popular WP Amazon widgets a shot and as I suspected they were all pieces of shit.

Without having a plugin to make Amazon easy for more I decided to get my hands dirty. I decided not to use any of the widgets from Amazon's website because they all look crappy and I really don't think anyone is going to click on one of those links and buy something- I suppose it happens all the time but I would imagine the CTR is lower with widgets.

So, I was left with the aStore. I messed around with this a LOT and was able to create an Amazon store that blends perfectly with my WP theme. Not only is the CSS in alignment with my theme's CSS but it also flows seamlessly into my WP theme. The average person would have no idea whats happening, some knowledgable people might not understand it at first glance. I have to say I'm very happy with the results.

I'm pushing 36 products that are directly related to my niche, products range in price from $12 to $349.99.

The aStore is the only method I plan on using for pushing Amazon stuff. Will let you guys know how it goes :)

in my opinion, I think that astore has dead from google.
The easy way is creating website for product review and put banners and/or links to amazon.
Do good on-page SEO is enough to get first page on google in many keywords.
