I wouldn't look at or buy a product from someone that is reviewing a product with a slide show when there are others who put in the effort to truly test the product and do a personal review. Maybe a blog would be better for only text/slide show reviews.
Even blog needs high quality original images.

You have to make those slideshows very good quality to get an edge over others.

Yes, You can easily start uploading videos on YouTube. But you need to define Niche.
Means in which Niche, You are going to work. It is the main part.

I just slideshow videos last year 2020 and I just leave it busy for other projects. I only made I think 60 videos I just copy pictures and videos from amazon site then I promote, so easy so simple but takes time to do it if you do it every single day. All kinds of strategies will work you just have to continue and don't listen to guys that say it will not work because all will work if you just have perseverance.

I think slideshow will not be that effective if you are not showing any product. I believe people would love you to have that visual experience of the product, so it's pretty difficult to retain viewers with slideshow alone.
