Hey Indian Folks,

Is PAN card number can be used as the TIN number for amazon affiliate tax information? Can anyone clarify it?

Thanks

No, you have to enter the GSTIN number. It is mandatory now - though you have no GSTIN applicable on export, you will have to deposit 18% on your affiliate income and then claim the refund showing you received it outside India.

Are you sure bud? Applying GSTIN isn't easy and I saw people entering PAN number as TIN number

Yes, that's what the law says (advised by different CA) but definitely, no one going to bother you for many years unless you making good chunk online. Amazon doesn't have a check for TIN in India, you can enter the correct digits and skip.

  • Export of goods or services under GST: If you are the exporter of services, then also it is mandatory to register under GST.
Generally, I receive all my outside India payment via Paypal. As suggested by my CA - I deposit 18% of the amount credited in INR as GST then write a mail to Paypal for FIRC Certificate and claims the refund for the same next month.

So, bro
What did you enter as TIN number ?
Pan card or anything else

I wanna ask something regarding this. I plan to dropship on ebay and Amazon.
So.
1.How much fees does it cost for the registration of GSTIN?
2. Will I have to pay monthly or yearly even if I didn't sell anything at all?
3. Any correct tutorial for e-commerce online seller GSTIN on registration?
4. Will I immediately get the GSTIN number to be used? How long is the registration process?

1. Fees depends on your area and competition , in bangalore its aroung 3K.
2. If you sell then you need to file returns.
3. NO IDEA
4. It takes a week to get GSTIN number

So I won't have to pay anything if I didn't make any sale even after registering there as proprietary?
