Just to give a little background about myself, as you can tell, I'm fairly new to bhw and IM. Although I have known about bhw for about 4 years now, I haven't actually got involved until just recently. I'm seeing that amazon affiliate sites are all the rage now, but doing a little research myself, I see the internet just cluttered with these amazon review and shop sites. I'm attempting to setup a review site myself, Its not fully setup yet but after doing some more digging around I see review sites for pretty much every product listed on amazon, which is no surprise to me, but for someone like me who has never ranked a site before this sounds like a very challenging task that I may not be able to achieve.
I went ahead a purchased some keywords for a amazon review site that "should be" easy to rank. After looking into the keywords that I purchased I've already found 3-4 amazon review sites out of those, 2 of them I doubt I can out rank considering that I have no experience, and the keywords have only 1000 monthly searches. So now I'm beginning to wonder if this is even worth my time to try and outrank some of these sites for only a small amount of traffic in return.
I've looked through some my journey threads and of the successful ones, most of them are 1+ year old threads. I know it takes time to rank a site and bring in a decent profit, but also over time people become more aware of these methods and take advantage of them, making it harder to start one up.
I'm willing to put in work and effort and I understand that there is no easy button when it comes to IM. I'm just not sure if I will be able to profit from this. I've also been seeing a lot of sites getting banned now, so I'm not sure if amazon is cracking down on these sites or what, but I would rather focus my time and effort somewhere else if my site is eventually going to get banned.
I'm just looking for some advice if anyone has any and if you think a newbie like me can at least profit from amazon affiliates. I'm not looking for no $100 a day, just enough to pay for my hosting and other site expenses I need to build up the site.
