I'm currently creating some wireframes to get some amazon affiliate sites designed and had a question about layout.
Say I have four products and one article (say an article comparing a number of different products together) that I know are going to be popular. Do I want to ensure these are always on the home page (perhaps in a 'Featured Posts' area), with a snippet of the product/article text? I am thinking I should because:
a) I want to drive people to these pages as much as possible
b) The keywords contained in the text snippets are on my site homepage and I'm thus likely to rank higher for them
c) The link juice from linking to these pages from the home page will increase the pages' individual ranking
Is that correct? Thanks!
