Amazon affiliate question

So I work for a company that sells things on Amazon. I have asked seller support if it is okay to use an affiliate account to point towards our store, they said it is fine. I then called and asked if I can give affiliate links in Amazon's message system for our actual store front. They said that is fine, but I feel like I have read conflicting reports elsewhere on this. Any thoughts?

Hmmm I have the exact same question, can't really make up my mind...
