Hey...

have anyone use Amazon affiliate program and had any success with them?

They seem to be quite stingy in their payout.. ha

I've had good luck with them.
I have a search box on a site I own, and I get about 20 bucks a week, just from people searching.
If you had a targeted website for products (e.g. Camcorders, tools) I think you would kick butt!
 
I use them for one of my electronics blog and love it, I earn more with them than I do with adsense or any other affiliate program.
 
They have so many different types of ads, which have proven best for you ...some seem a little to gimmicky for me

Is there any plugin for wordpress that works the same way as Phpbay does?

I really would like to add amazon to one of my pages, but I don't like theres widgets and so forth.

I asked for a plugin that does the same for amazon as Phpbay does for ebay.

I did not ask for the url to phpbay.

Anyone else?

hey everyone, would you guys recommend switching to amazon cuz im currently in epn and send about 700 clicks per day to ebay to get $20 per day. what do you suggest?

i think you can only apply amazon widgets to your wordpress blog
 
I have not used Amazon yet.
Because of the reason that I don't like their widgets.

Also they only offer 24h cookie so I would stick to ebay, and expand with amazon.

I would not exchange.

But thats me!

Like previously mentioned, I think a major downfall is the life of the cookie which is only 24 hours.

yeah amazon is not too good for cookie stuffing but for white hat stuff blogs etc. works great
 
yeah i have been using amazon also and think they are a bit stingy. And the 24hr cookie sucks, but you just have to get creative.

Had success up until about a week ago when they stopped using the 24h cookie and moved to the 1 session payment.
 
What a way to snub your nose at the very folks bringing you income. Dayum!
 
You want to catch your traffic when they're in the buying mode, not in research mode, since those cookies expire so quickly. For me this means targeting specific model numbers, etc. I've run campaigns on landing pages as well as with only PPC with these long-tail keywords.

Also, don't forget that once your site visitors are on the Amazon.com site, they may pick up a few other items too ... for which you will also be paid commission. That helps to make up for the lower commission, which is standard for physical products which have a much lower profit margin for the merchants for obvious reasons.

I love Amazon!
