Amazon Affiliate Program in 2019 - Worth or Not?

Is $500/month until 2020 a realistic goal in your opinion?

I was reading some thread about time invested to make first $ with a blog, and I would like to hear your thoughts about Amazon affiliate in 2019.

What do you think about it, and is it still worth the pain right now? I have some ideas about starting the new website, but investing 5 months in nothing (in terms of money, not knowledge) is not worth it in my opinion.

My goal is $500 per month until 2020.

$500 p/m = $10k sales p/m. Depends on your approach. If you have a decent auction domain, yeah, you can be making that in 3-5 months, plus considerably more. New domain = extremely unlikely.

Not 3-5 months, as I said, until 2020.

Also, I never bought an old domain, and I don't even know what budget I need to have to do that. Do you think it is worthy to buy an auction domain with $100-$150 to spend on it?

I have never bought an auction domain, personally I start from fresh with either a brand new domain or something I find (expired), with a few decent live links, add more decent links, perhaps 301 something else for a boost. I have seen auction domains sold for $4,500 making $10k p/m minimum, within 3 months.

For me $100-$150 domain is not worth it. $4k auction domain? Find the right one, splash the cash and you can earn a lot.

Or a competitor can neg SEO it, report it to Google or you could kill it with crap content and bad SEO.
 
you can get better deals separately.

of course main items in your niche good profit , it just the sales out side your niche with your cookie that now shit .

keyword research and trending items your goal .buzfeed , news , amazon popular items.

good articles to shop/blog = convesions .
 
Last year in April as well, I've started a new Amazon affiliate site.. in June it made the first dollar and went to +$2500 in Dec.
and now it's monthly average income is almost $1500/m. in that time, I wasn't so experienced in building affiliate sites (and I'm still not an expert in it at all).

I've started this site with a new fresh domain and used PBN rentals as my main links strategy.

So in my humble opinion, you don't need a huge budget to get an auction domain (you can just start with a new one) to start with + another big budget to build your PBN. (you can use PBN rentals OR build a mini private network (which would be better on the long term).

Last thing, focus on the niche selection, keyword research and content in the beginning.. see how & from where you'll outsource the content part and then start right away after that. Good luck dude

Mind me asking how much did it cost you to achieve these results? I mean, it's not so common to achieve such good results from the get go. You were either lucky OR you're very good at what you do ( I assume latter ). But in any case, congrats!

Yeah amazon sucks with the % but you definitely should consider the other affiliate programs that give higher %, in months time you could get to your goal with not nearly as much traffic as an amazon affiliate blog would require.

thats impressive stuff...mind telling what niche (parent category) you are in like outdoor or health etc etc?

Also did you buy the PBN rental from BHW ?

Well, before that site I've building affiliate site for almost one year.. so currently I've been in the game for almost two years. This isn't my only site it's just an example from my portfolio, not about luck as much as the experience you gain while growing these sites. Thanks :)

Tech niche. but If you search more you may end up with way better niches. Currently I look for niches that I can promote several stuff on the site, physical products, digital products etc..

how many articles on your site?
What other backlinks did you build except PBN links?

You just need to make proper use of PBNs to achieve this. You can test waters with low budget first to be on safe side.
