Amazon affiliate program - a question to experts

Hi to all!
I would like to ask to you if i can explicitly say on my website that if visitors purchase stuff through my amazon links i will earn money.
For example, can i write in the about page a message like "if you want to support me you can buy what you need through the links on this website, without any additional cost for you. I will simply receive a part of the original cost of the product that you purchase"?
I already put in the footer the message that i'am an amazon affiliate, but i would like to put a message like that in the about page... Can i do it? or will be banned if i do?
i'am asking this because as you probably know, you can't do this with adsense, they will ban you if you ask people to click on the ads, what says amazon about this?

You can do that with Amazon
But I'd mention you not to do so, people doesn't find it good.

Yeah i was thinking that too, but if you set up it like an alternative to the "donate" button, maybe someone will be happy to buy through your site to support you and your work, it doesn't has additional costs after all...

If you are providing helpful information ,your readers will be happy to buy through your affiliate link.

Yes but maybe they don't know how the amazon affiliate program works, they can have a tab open to amazon and another to my website, so they will not click the link on my post... I did this way a lot of times xD i think it's better to warn them about how it works.

This is different for each circumstance. Depending on what you are promoting, how you promote, whether you provide a quality answer to someone's problem, user demographics, and just the general niche you will see variance in this.

My experience has been that clean and helpful websites absolutely benefit from the transparency.
