Amazon Affiliate- Need help

I'm looking for a bit of help beginning my Amazon Affiliate journey. What are the basics? I've got a Network of 5 Million + Followers, would i be able to drive traffic? This is the first time i've taken interest in becoming an affiliate so I just need a bit more information before I get started.

5 million is a lot. If your followers are real, active and targeted, you will earn a lot.
 
you can make good money with 5 million + followers. The best way would be to monetize them indierectly, provided they are all in the same niche and active, real users.

Social Followers --> Website with affiliate links --> $$$.
 
I will advice you to read white passion thread for getting more info about Amazon aff. You can send traffic to website then to your aff link.
 
Setup a site related to your niche and drive traffic to it.

It would be better if the ads were in the same niche as your traffic.

Just be sure to not in engage in blackhat activities since you're pretty new to IM. Amazon pays net 60 and they will ban you before payment day if they see you are doing something against their TOS.
 
You will need simple landing page created. Then just post it to your followers. If they are male and teens I would suggest you promote some "cool geek" toys (check thinkgeek).
 
Is there any sort of approval system when applying to become an Amazon affiliate? And once i have the site ready, where do i place the affiliate links? Any help is appreciated, thank you!
 
Hey mate,

For approval in Amazon you have to:
1) Have a good site with content "that adds value" (take it with a grain of salt as that is subjective, but copying/grabbing items descriptions won't do it for them). Also, it has to have a good deal of content or sometimes they won't approve it (you can retry though).
2) After that, I think a few months ago they changed the process so you have to at least have some conversions to finally get approved in a span of time.
3) After starting the process you can start placing the links wherever you want in your product review, as long as it's not deceptive or spammy.

Ah similar to Adsense then

So I have to write product reviews, place the link within the review then if a visitor clicks that link and buys the product, I get paid?
 
Right,

Amazon uses a cookie that lasts 24hs and unless they enter with someone else's link after that, you're gonna get the commission for anything that they buy. Only thing that you have to do is make them enter through the link and give them a good reason to buy the product, obviously.

I'm in the same position as you. Just started a journey detailing what I've done and what I will be doing. Can't call it a success yet, but it's nice to see what others are doing. As others have said, whitepassion has a thread that he has been updating for more than a year now which has quality advice that you should give a look. But make your own assumptions, what works for one might not work for the other.
