Amazon affiliate link spammed? Advice needed.

Hi guys. So today I went in to check on my amazon associates stats. However, I've noticed that one of my affiliate link had a huge spike in the number of clicks. The thing is, this affiliate id is associated with one of my site that got wiped out by penguin 3.0, therefore, the traffic is super low with only about 8 visits today. The clicks went from 4 on the 12th to 869 on the 13th of November. Could it be that someone is trying to have me banned from amazon associates by spamming my affiliate link? Should I inform amazon regarding this? It could be a glitch but my other affiliate links seems normal.

I experience the same for one of my sites, it is usually in the high XX and I have no idea where that comes from. That is going on for about 4 months now and my account is not banned neither have I been contacted by Amazon about it. I guess there is nothing you can do to be honest. Which sucks .... it makes me nervous aswell

Precisely. Things like this makes me worried too. I've heard people's account getting banned due to their affiliate links being spammed. Sucks though.
