Howdy, I got laid off my job about a week ago and with all my free time I am going to build some amazon review sites. I plan on starting with 3 then expanding. All sites are being built on wordpress and I am using the gonzo theme at the moment.

Content - 11 pages of content plus contact us/ privacy policy
SEO - 2 manual web 2.0 articles
Serpbook rank - 32

Site 2
EMD.net domain name
2400 Exact local monthly search
Article/Review site
Age - About 1 week
Content - 4 pages of content plus contact us/ privacy policy
SEO - None
Serpbook rank - 25

Site 3
EMD.net domain name
1000 Exact local monthly search
Article/Review site
Age - 1 day
Content - None
SEO - None
Serpbook rank - N/A

My plan for all 3 sites is to build them out to around 15 to 20 pages to start, I have the keywords for the content I want to write I just need to get it done. Right now I am writing about 50% of the content by hand and out sourcing the other 50%. First I plan on getting all my content created then I will focus on SEO.

This is a long term project and I expect results to take at least 3 months. Please feel free to ask any questions and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Good luck on your journey dude Sorry to hear you got laid off. Stick to IM, it's more fun anyways ^^ All the best.

Day 1 - Installed wordpress on blog 3, added plugins and my theme. My plan for tomorrow is to write at least 2 articles for site 3.

Just stick to IM business with little more dedication and you'll earn more than your salary of that earlier job for sure. You already took action which will pay off if you are being steady. Best of luck.

Luck doesn't play a factor in my book. Only hard work, luck leaves room for excuses!

Dont be afraid to spend some good money on professional SEO. It makes the difference. Dont be scared of taking financial risks.

True, taking financial risk is a tuff part but we have to take it to earn something in future.

I do want to take financial risk but the issue is that i don't have any money at all except CC for which i am afraid bit but i'm thinking to invest some from my YT + CPA earning.

I wouldn't bother posting daily updates at this time - because it takes a while to get going ... just take notes and update the thread in a month then 2 months - then after 3 months start posting more often.

The most frustrating time is the beginning - working to getting everything set-up - in google and rankings ---> then obviously Sales.

Best of luck - and just be consistent - Rome was not built in a day either .. cheers.

Yeah I am not going to update everyday right now. I dont think too many people are interested in me writing articles and installing wordpress

Concentrate on your work, let us know the milestones you achieve. Use your time wisely. Good luck buddy!

Good luck mate.

If you need anything, PM me.

I strongly suggest you to invest inthe content at first. Design, site structure, user experience.

Once that base is done, think about SEO. You can do a lot of SEO manually. Think -- Reddit, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Social bookmarks, couple web 2.0 manually, forums, Yahoo Answer. -- I've had good success with that. Yahoo Answer and youtube are a great source of traffic. Do no underestimate them.

Thank you, I will probably take you up on that offer in the future. I plan on doing most of my initial SEO manually then possible sourcing in the future.

What I did today
-Ordered 7 600 word articles from NatashaNixon for site 3
-Created 5 youtube review videos for site 2
-Created the banner for site 3

What I did today
-Created 2 videos for site 2
-Finished installing plugin on site 3
-Wrote 1 article for site 2

My rankings are still dancing like crazy. Site 1 is getting very few visitors while #2 is seeing about 5 per day. The content for site 3 should be in tomorrow.

Your stats look good so far? If you don't mind could you explain more how you do initial SEO?

Good luck with your journey :)

6/27 Update - What I did today.
-Fixed formatting on all 3 sites
-Added 7 pages of content to site 3
-Wrote 1 article for site 2
-Created 1 web 2.0 backlink to site 2

My sites are still moving around in google like crazy, some days they are ranked in the top 50 others they do not appear at all. Site 3 has not been ranked yet as content was just added today.

I have had a few clicks so far which is good, but now sales. I think a few of these clicks are mine but some are also visitors.
