[Amazon Affiliate] - Is it Worth Doing for Low Value Items?

Just wondering if there's value or money to be made to do Amazon Affiliate niche sites for a product that is between $10-$20, with a search volume of 3000 USA/month?

I understand that most people are gunning for at least $50/item.

Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated.

The advantage of having low ticket items in addition to higher priced items is, if you have something that converts really well, all those small items will drive up your "shipped items" and increase your tiered commissions. "Ship 10 more items to increase to 7%"

Yeah that's true. But wondering if anyone did well with just purely gunning for low value amazon items?

I think most of the people go for higher items because you need to rank your keyword anyway.

Lets say why should you go for a low price keyword with the same searches and difficult than a higher price product when you need to rank 10 PBN links for both?

If you have a 10% conversation rate and you get 5% per commission and your're #1 you will get for a 10$ product > 50$/month. If you rank a 50$ product = 250$/month.

I would maybe go for this product if
1. You can benefit from this traffic (much crosssales or they buy something other from your site)
2. You have time and resources to rank this
3. It's a super low comp keyword
4. You need some sales to bump your commission.

Hmm good pointers. So I guess the trick is to really focus on higher value items, but use the low value items to bump up the average amazon affiliate % comms.

Wonder if anyone else have earning results from ranking well from a low value amazon item?
