Hey Guys Amazon's support team is confused by my question I guess and I don't have time to hunt for the answer. Please help me with your infinite wisdom.

In order for me to put Amazon Affiliate links in an ebook I'm going to sell on my niche site I have to disclose that there are affiliate links in the ebook right? Before the sale? Or can I just put the Amazon Affiliate disclosure notice in the book?

The next question is where do I have to put the AA Disclosure in the ebook? In the very beginning or at the end?

I think you'll be fine disclosing it in the book, at the start of it.

The solution is still the same for the people who purchase your ebook.

So I'm good just disclosing it at the beginning of the book and don't need to disclose it before sale?

Correct me if I'm wrong but are you sure you are allowed to use Amazon affiliate links in ebooks in the first place?
I was under the impression this was (although nowhere clearly stipulated so possible a grey zone) a no-go...
My understanding is that in an ebook (just like e-mails etc...) the links should be pointing to a landing page or 'product review' page in some sort...
This meaning no disclosure required in the ebook but mandatory on the landing page...

As per Amazon's TOS, you should not put amazon affiliate links on Ebooks, which can be accessed offline. But you can use affiliate links on amazon kindle.

There is a work around
twitter tweet link in ebook=>twitter profile=>amazon affiliate link.

That's pretty.
Amazon looks for the referer url .Remember the twitter and reddit method instead you are putting the twitter status link in the ebook. But you can't use this for kindle books because of manual review.

That's a very good idea. I'm not sure I have the balls to try it out. Don't want to bite the hand that feeds at the moment.

This.

It all depends on your risk acceptance.

Any offline is grey area and there is a risk involved. The safest way is to refer your website in the ebook and then let them click on the affiliate link to buy on Amazon.
