I have seen in discord groups using amazon affiliate links to redirect to some website which then redirects automatically to amazon url
What is the method of this and is considered again terms of service with amazon

All you need to do amazon say is include a reference to the fact that you earn commission from shared links to amazon, "As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases." that's all you need to have linked on your profile somewhere it says on their website if you market via social media.

Thanks but it seems all discord and even facebook groups redirect thier links to their website which then redirects to amazon.
How would you do that?
Or are you saying I can just direct people from the discord channel direct?

Amazon can detect where the traffic comes from. So inorder to avoid account suspension they do this as Amazon doesn't allow social media traffic unless you mention affiliate disclosure . I think that's the reason.

yeah, either is fine I think, I'm sure Amazon would prefer you link directly though. As that would give THEM the most control over the return of the link.

That's ok, I am just trying to figure out how to do it like I see a lot of others doing Social Media site URL > Website > Amazon
I think that is how many are doing and should be ok to do with amazon from I hear, but I am not sure how to set this up

I think it's a matter of double dipping, but I could be wrong. Look at the link you click on in Discord. You will notice it's an affiliate link for a cash-back service (at least that's what I've found) that acts as the affiliate for said company (like Amazon or Walmart). They get the commission you would get, you get cash back from them. I think there's a way to click through both the cash back service link AND the amazon/walmart affiliate link. If so, this might be one way to do it (without having to go through the trouble of embedding affiliate links).

I could be absolutely wrong, though.
