    Ok, first post

So I've been playing around with amazon affiliates for a while and cant figure out which cookie is the affiliate cookie. not only that but i cant find any cookies that have the touted 24 hr expiration date. I'm trying to figure out the following questions:

-What is the affiliate cookie name?
-If I click on the same affiliate link twice, will i be issued 2 unique affiliate cookies (both pointing to the same affiliate)?
-If I copy the affiliate cookie from host1 (which clicked on the link) directly to host2's browser cookie file (which hasn't clicked the link), is there some sort of server session that will prevent host2 from using the affiliate cookie from host1?

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

what you are trying to do has probably been tried by pro hackers ;)
Amazon stores cookie data on their servers.. they are only called cokies, but infact they are sessions info stored on servers.

well this makes things a bit more complicated. is this a common practice with the big companies who offer affiliate programs?
